sin•syne \'sin-,sīn\ adverb [Middle English (Scots) sensyne, from sen since (contraction of Middle English sithen) + syne since – more at SINCE, SYNE] (14th century) chiefly Scottish : since that time Or so says Merriam Webster's Deluxe Dictionary Tenth Collegiate® Edition. She was perusing the dictionary and ‘sinsyne’ seemed oddly appropriate for a blog. ~~~~~ Most address her as Tala but she answers also to pishu. Tala is a college student taking World Studies. She’s many things –a fangirl, writer, procrastinator, spazz, free spirit, and perfectionist being chief among them. Friends have described her as blunt, cynical yet idealistic, sarcastic, affable, insightful and intelligent, a shade narcissistic, lazy, megalomaniac, extravagant, kooky, and open-minded. Tala is one of the many anime-manga fans populating the internet and she freely admits that she likes shounen-ai. If this makes you uncomfortable, well, as you were. Now and again she will game. Tala is also a great lover of j-pop and recently discovered k-pop; she’s very much prone to spontaneous bouts of glee and flailage. She dislikes many things, notably waking up before ten, black liquorice, calculus, and mosquitoes. Conversely, Tala much appreciates fresh pineapple, winter, French, and jewellery. She’s a creature very easily distracted by pretty-boys and she has a terrible magpie complex. Literature is Tala’s one true passion. She devours books at an astonishing rate and lives to write her little heart out –be it poetry, short stories, fanfiction, or novels. She most enjoys writing horror, light fantasy, romance, drama, and steam/cyberpunk. Her fondness for the tragic and bittersweet has her convinced that she was born in the wrong era. Other hobbies of hers include swimming, cross-stitch, DDR, gaming, sudoku, photography, and… shopping. Tala has aspirations of becoming a “crazy cat lady” when she grows old. Peace. | |
